I have 4 wonderful children and a sick wife. I work when I can and am always looking to improve myself! I live for my family and want my children to have it much better than I did. I don't like asking for help, but I really need to catch up and keep a roof over our heads. God bless you and thank you for reading this and for your generosity.
On Sunday after the holiday breakfast Laiga and Juris along with five-year-old daughter and seven-year old son departed from the greens to enjoy the fresh holiday. When they came back, everything was in order. Around seven in the evening Laigai noticed smoke in the laundry shed hand, and immediately called her husband, who was not at home at the time. When Juris arrived, flames already increased in force. At home at the time he was also Juris parents and brother. Everyone did what they could - carried off from home furnishings and apparel, however, despite the efforts of fire, the house of 170 square meters suffered so thoroughly that what is left is demolished. I managed to extinguish the fire only at night. Juris currently with his wife and children live in the neighborhood, but the parents to another son. What more insurance! With our salaries ... exclaims Juris.
As many of you already know, on October 4, 2016, Hurricane Matthew, a Category 4 Hurricane, made landfall on the Island of Haiti, leaving behind massive and unspeakable destruction. According to the latest Reuters report, the death toll is well over 900 and more than 60,000 are displaced. Sadly, those numbers continue to rise daily. Hurricane Matthew destroyed a good 90% of the Southern peninsula of Haiti, which was the main provider of much of the local food for the rest of the country. Food is already becoming a scarce commodity. Disease is fastly spreading. Most of the water available to victims is unsafe for drinking and now the vast majority of the population, the more vulnerable, are left, once more, to fend for themselves in order to survive. We are called again to do what we can, to the best of our abil
I have started a foundation called I Heart Africa, so we can help people in Africa who need it.The money we raise will be helping renovate, improve and provide basic supplies for the Meteba medical centre in Ngaba. There is not enough medicine, equipment or staff. They only have 8 beds, 5 on one ward and 3 in the maternity unit. The conditions are horrendous, equipment is out-dated and it is extremely unhygienic. We will continue to work with the Masika centre (Orphanage in Minova, East Congo) plan
Mrs Sheindy Wallace from the Meah Shearim neighbourhood of Yerushalayim tragically passed away this past Monday at the young age of 33 years old aftersuffering for 2 years with a severe case of cancer.Sheindy was known to be the most dedicated and loving mother to her 9 beautiful children with the oldest being only 13 years old and the youngest are just 2 year old gorgeous twins who unfortunately never got to know their mother A"H. She devoted all her time to looking after and bringing up her precious children. Her dedicated husband has spent the last 2 years caring for his sick wife Sheindy AH, while trying to balance the role of a father and mother at home. This meant sacrificing his job and income. Although he had worked hard all his life, they lived in her parents apartment as th
Over 8 years I've had the honor of being taken into a storyline that has forever changed my life. I was invited to walk with the families of a place then named La Chureca, a masssive unregulated trash dump that was home tothousands. It was a place of work and survival in a country hosting over a 70% unemployment rate and the unfortunate stat of being the poorest nation in Central and South America. Children played barefoot amongst the burning refuge, stepping over needles discarded from medical waste while their parents worked endless hours rummaging through trash.
