I'm running a Half Marathon (13.1 miles) on July 4th, dedicated to Joe Danger. This is part of my personal contribution to the greater fundraising effort for Joe. I'm asking you to support me and support Joe - or even better, join us at the finish line!Joe fell ill and was taken to the ER on March 6th and subsequently admitted into ICU where he slipped into a deep coma for over 5 weeks. The cause of Joe's illness and coma was a mystery and required massive amounts of medications and steroids to reverse inflammation to his brain, which was causing severe brain damage. While the cause of illness still largely remains a mystery, doctors came to a consensus that Joe's immune system had overreacted, turned against his own body and began attacking his brain. The combination of medications and the severity of brain damage made Joes prognosis and recovery grim and unpredictable. The hard work is paying off. At the time of this writing (5/13), Joe is on his 70th day of ho
A charity dedicated to supporting 13,700 at risk children through 170 pet therapy teams who donate their time to help kids in need. On August 20th I will be golfing for dollars in an effort to reach even more children. It only takes one visit with a therapy team to understand the impact that the unconditional love of an animal can do to build trust and compassion in children who may not otherwise experience it. Please help me reach my goal. Any amount will help us reach more children during a time when Arizona's children need it most. Donate today!

If you're a beard naysayer, it's too late...I've already been growing my beard for over a year and a half. But no worries because from here on out, I'm leaving its fate up to you! I'd like to get a fun, little competition going to raise funds for Nios de Guatemala (NDG), the non-profit organization I volunteered for the three months I was in Guatemala. Its a SHAVE IT, SAVE IT or DO SOMETHING CREATIVE competition, and here's how it works: If you want me to shave my beard and go back to being a civilized member of society, then you donate to the SHAVE IT pool. If you want me to save the beard and continue being a Neanderthal and getting mistaken for one of the guys from Duck Dynasty, then you donate to the SAVE IT pool. OR if you want me to rock some crazy facial hairstyle like a handlebar mustache, a soul patch
Dear friends,In some way or another, you have touched my life and been a part of it. It could be in a professional capacity or in my passion, music.I am currently studying for my Masters degree in rhythmic choral conducting in Aalborg, Denmark at the Royal Academy of Music. I am so blessed and privileged to be able to study here with the best in the world. Jim Daus Hjernoe, Jesper Holm and Peder Karlsson. These men have been a huge influence in my musical career and are definitely examples of inspiration. One of the subjects I have in the course of this education is jazz piano. This is something completely new to me. I learned how to play classical piano when I was younger but never learned how to play from chord schemes. This is so much fun but I have to practice. A lot.About 3 months before my husband Johannes died, he bought me an acoustic upright piano with his first money from his first Tour de France. We were shopping in B
