On Friday 13th May 2016, Julianne Baldock was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. Only 27 years old and pregnant with her second baby, Julianne and her husband Carl now face a difficult road ahead with six months of chemotherapy, followed by breast surgery, and possibly radiation PLUS a caesarean to deliver their baby.
From Monday 23rd May, Julianne will travel over 300km to the Epworth Hospital in Melbourne and back, for regular treatment. Family and friends have already shown their support by offering to help drive; care for her 1 1/2 year old daughter Luella; cook; clean and do what they can.
However, the family need our financial support as well - to help cover the cost of travel; medication; home help and more.
Because Julianne will be partway into her chemotherapy treatment when baby number 2 is delivered, she will be unable to breastfeed. Even the cost of baby milk formula is an additional unplanned expense.
Having a newborn is tough. Having cancer is horrible. Having both at the same time is more than most of us will ever deal with in our lives. Please help.
Thank you from the very bottom of our hearts. Your generosity is so greatly appreciated.
