Im trying to achieve a dream I had since I was a kid, to become a voice actor. Everyone constantly telling me that I shouldn't reach for it or even try. It took me too long to realize that there wrong. I can make it. I will make it, but I need your help.
I met with industry professionals, voice acting legend Jess Harnell(voice actor for Doc Mcstuffins' "Chilly", Transformers "Iron Hide", Animaniacs' Wacko Warner... And much more) and audio production genius Chuck Duran(host of VO Buzz Weekly, and lead guitar for Rock Sugar, and recording technician/voice over specialist for DemosThatRock.com). They agreed that I have the talent but I dont have the tools to do it on my own. So, if i can make it out to Chuck's studio in LA I can record a Hollywood professional demo and get a marketing plan to get me to the best agents in Hollywood.
To that effect, it only costs 2650 for the recording, scripts, editing, music, effects and basically all the demo stuff.
It costs and additional 1500 for the professional marketing.
And another 1000 for the rental car to get there from Indiana.
And the remainder is for gas and food, as I will be sleeping in the car so no need for hotel.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. And thank you for sharing my story and donating.
It doesn't cost much to go to a studio locally. Maybe $25 per hour. This option doesn't provide editing, effects, consultation, critique and corrections, script, mixing, and more.
With Chuck Duran, I would have a specifically Voice Over Professional right there with me telling me how to adjust what i need to. He knows the business and what they need to hear to accept me as their next client. Chuck knows what scripts what music and effects need to go and how to go with the recording for the best quality recording. Chuck has been doing this for years and has a ton of first hand experience with the voice over business.
Another reason it costs this price is becuse it IS Hollywood.
