Hello. My name is Amy and I am married and together, we have a 9 year old son. The past 3 weeks I had something on the side of my face causing me great pain, discomfort, and unbearable headaches. It was spreading and getting worse but I dealt with it anyway because I had to work. After about 2 weeks, I decided to go to the Redi-Med clinic that is here in town. I called in for Tuesday, 11/14/2017, so I could go to the clinic. When Tuesday came, after 3 hours of waiting, I got called back and was seen within 45 minutes. I was told I have an infection and was given a prescription. I was told if I get worse, or the medicine doesn't help, then to go to the ER. He wrote me a note, which I knew wouldn't benefit me because my employer doesn't accept them, but I kept it anyway. He didn't want me to go to work that Wednesday either because I was contagious. So, after 4 hours of being there, I get in my car and call my employer andet them know what the doctor said. After I got the prescrition
Please consider a donation to our volunteer effort on "Giving Tuesday". Thank-you!"You vote in elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in. - Author UnknownThis is the story of a once proud and pristine recreational park near Hamburg, PA. A destination for people of all ages to enjoy outdoor activities. Among them: fishing, walking, picnics, boating, kayaking, a children's play area, horseshoes, quoits, basking in the sun and many other forms of good time socialization. The county of Berks abandoned the area several years ago and in 2014 I took it upon myself to mow grass to keep the area open to anyone who enjoyed fishing at Kaercher Creek....be it a lone fisherman, family or a father or mother teaching their sons or daughters the excitement of fishing for the first time. The conditions were terrible. The grass had overgrown to waist high and the walking path had become difficult to navigate.
I have 4 wonderful children and a sick wife. I work when I can and am always looking to improve myself! I live for my family and want my children to have it much better than I did. I don't like asking for help, but I really need to catch up and keep a roof over our heads. God bless you and thank you for reading this and for your generosity.
As some of you may know, and some of you may not, Malcolm is our 1.5 year old Bassett Hound. He is our son, and a brother to our two kids and his dog sister. He is our ever loving fur buddy who won't accept not being petted or acknowledged. He is our slobbery kiss giver and mud sharer. He is our family and our heart. He went into emergency surgery on the night of Friday, September 8 for what was a suspected corn cob causing an intestinal blockage. After 2.5 hours in surgery and 1.5 feet of intestines removed during a process of resection and anastomosis, it turns out it wasn't a corn cob at all (Malcolm was never much of a fan for veggies anyhow), but was instead something called Intussusception where basically one part of his intestine had kaleidoscoped another part into it. Had we waited much longer, Malcolm would not have made it. He had a successful surgery, thank God, and now the harder part begins: recovery. The next five days are crucial for his survival given a major c
Two years after our son was born we were blessed with a little girl. She was so perfect, always smiling and filling the house with so much laughter. We all loved her so so much. The summer of 2016 we noticed she wasn't acting like herself, but we didn't know what was wrong. It started with her drinking more water than normal. We thought she was just trying to race her older brother (which they often did) and drink more than him. But she was also wetting the bed almost every night after she was doing so well with potty training only a few months earlier. We took her to the doctor when we noticed the constipation and followed his instructions. Then the vomiting suddenly, getting tired and weak started. She began losing weight, stopped laughing and smiling as much as she used to. And was just all around miserable. So we did what any parent would do, we went back to the doctor and had a blood test done.In August 2016, right before her 3rd birthday, our bab
